Fabricating the Landscape

Saturday 10 - Sunday 18 February
Drop in between 10.30am - 1.30pm

Join in with this Cumbrian traditional craft and help to create a community made 3D rag-rugged version of Monet's Haystacks: Snow Effect!

Also known as rag 'hooky or 'proddy' rugs, rag rugs are made from recycled scraps of old fabric and have been used in Lake District houses for centuries. Try your hand working with wools and fabrics, learn a new skill and help to weave a collaborative three-dimensional Monet Haystack.

Drop in anytime between 10.30am - 1.30pm and stay for as long or as little as you like. The sessions will be led by a member of our team and will take place in the Monet gallery, with the masterpiece right in front of you for guidance!

This unique workshop is completely free with standard admission.
