Our popular Art Club takes place across 5 weeks with our next club beginning Saturday 14 September - 12 October.
This creative artist-led club will take children aged 7-12 years on a colourful journey into the gallery.
The course, running 5 weeks every Saturday, will begin by taking inspiration from our exhibitions to develop their own art and style.
Through Art Club your child will develop observation skills, communication skills through language and creativity, and they will also learn about the rich cultural heritage captured within the collection.
Lex Blakeway is a fibre artist from Ulverston who works in locally sourced and hand-dyed wool to create beautiful nature inspired felt work.
This autumn, children can learn wet felting, needle felting and colour blending in the LAB. Their final piece will be a club collaboration informed by the work of Ruskin and Turner.
