’Prunella Clough: places, objects, words’ by Margaret Garlake

Thursday 31st January 2008, 6.30 for 7.00pm

Places, objects and landscapes of various kinds were Prunella Clough’s principal subjects. She said that she was an ‘eye person’ and her paintings are our main source of information about her work but she also wrote very vividly so that we can add her words to her images.
Margaret Garlake is an art historian and specialises in twentieth-century British art. Her publications include books on Peter Lanyon and, most recently, the sculptor Reg Butler.

Tickets £7.50 including a glass of wine (concessions £5 for students, Friends, Patrons and Benefactors of the Lakeland Arts Trust).

To Book for this lecture phone 01539 722464 (Early booking is recommended as there are limited tickets available).
