We warmly welcome families to Abbot Hall. There is much to do for all age groups both in and around the Gallery.

Adjacent to Abbot Hall is a park where you can picnic safely and which includes a play area with swings and slides. Activity boxes and quiz sheets relating to some of the pictures are available for use by families with young children. These are free of charge to gallery visitors and can be obtained from the gallery reception desk. At Easter there are special quizzes at Abbot Hall, Blackwell and the Museum of Lakeland Life (only 50p entry). Completed quiz sheets should be presented to reception staff to win a special Easter prize.

A children's menu and colouring sheets are available in Abbot Hall's coffee shop.
