German refugee, Kurt Schwitters, died in Kendal in 1948 and is today recognised as one of the most important and influential artists of the twentieth century. This expanded display showcases works by Schwitters from Lakeland Arts’ small, but wonderfully varied collection of paintings, collages, sculpture and drawings.
