Shown alongside the paintings in the Georgian rooms is a fine collection
of furniture in walnut, mahogany and satinwood. This includes several
rare pieces by Gillows of Lancaster, including a mahogany foli stand and a Trou Madame Table
of c.1769-1776. In addition there are examples of English porcelain
and pottery. Various other fascinating curios and artefacts adorn
these rooms including a pair of 18th century Wedgwood basalt vases and a marble bust of Vitelio dating from 1850. The Dining Room has a fascinating Coalbrookdale fireplace installed at Abbot Hall in the 19th century.
